Narrative:
During a very hectic departure from ZZZ, we failed to notice that our new aircraft was showing the little white numbers under the N1 indicators that mean that at some time previous there may have been an engine overspd. There were several distrs that popped up during the preflight and departure time that may have contributed to our failure to notice this. I also have to admit that this is not something I have been including in my preflight scan. The items were called in to maintenance by us in XXX and written up in the logbook. Lesson learned.
