Narrative:
Strong gusty xwinds were present. During rollout with full aileron into the wind, the aircraft departed the runway to the left and went into deep grass. Aircraft was heavily grass stained on propeller and left wing but no damage was discerned. 1 taxiway light was struck. The major factor was the requirement to make the flight. The airplane was flown from ptk to arb to participate in a safety program. The WX did not appear bad enough to not make the flight. Other factors were that I was a bit rusty, having not flown frequently enough in the past yr to be sharp on my performance.
