Narrative:
I departed lgb runway 30 with left downwind departure for repos leg to ont. No radar services were offered. I had reviewed the VFR terminal area chart before departure and decided that a climb to 5500 ft MSL would keep me clear of class B airspace. At approximately 3 NM southwest of sli VOR I noted that I had drifted west of course, which may have put me inside the los angeles class B airspace west of the sli VOR (5000-12000 ft MSL). This occurred while I was looking for the approach control frequency after leaving the lgb air traffic area. I had been expecting to be given a frequency change by the tower and was unprepared to find the frequency. Better preparation and knowledge of the area and frequencys for the area would have prevented this occurrence.

Title: PLT OF A BEECH BE99, ON A REPOSITIONING FLT INADVERTENTLY ENTERED CLASS B AIRSPACE DURING A VFR LEVELOFF ALT.
Narrative: I DEPARTED LGB RWY 30 WITH L DOWNWIND DEP FOR REPOS LEG TO ONT. NO RADAR SVCS WERE OFFERED. I HAD REVIEWED THE VFR TERMINAL AREA CHART BEFORE DEP AND DECIDED THAT A CLB TO 5500 FT MSL WOULD KEEP ME CLR OF CLASS B AIRSPACE. AT APPROX 3 NM SW OF SLI VOR I NOTED THAT I HAD DRIFTED W OF COURSE, WHICH MAY HAVE PUT ME INSIDE THE LOS ANGELES CLASS B AIRSPACE W OF THE SLI VOR (5000-12000 FT MSL). THIS OCCURRED WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR THE APCH CTL FREQ AFTER LEAVING THE LGB ATA. I HAD BEEN EXPECTING TO BE GIVEN A FREQ CHANGE BY THE TWR AND WAS UNPREPARED TO FIND THE FREQ. BETTER PREPARATION AND KNOWLEDGE OF THE AREA AND FREQS FOR THE AREA WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS OCCURRENCE.
