Narrative:
While in cruise phase of flight as PF, captain believed he received clearance to vacate FL220 down to 11000 ft and direct rdu VOR which he set into the FMS and the altitude selector. As rdu VOR was north of our position, the aircraft proceeded to make a turn to the north, and I started the descent down to 11000 ft. When I noticed the turn away from our intended course, I selected heading and continued towards our destination, but the descent continued. When queried about intended instructions, ATC stated that the call was not for us. ATC then instructed us to descend to FL200 as per next sector's (jacksonville) instructions. Altitude at new instructions was 20300 ft. A deviation of 1700 ft. Heading never got beyond 10 degrees off course and was corrected immediately. We had flown 7 hours previous to deviation, with extensive delays coming out of phl.

Title: A DO328 FLC ACCEPTS A CLRNC MEANT FOR ANOTHER FLT AND STARTS A TURN BACK ON A REVERSE TRACK DURING THEIR DSCNT OUT OF THEIR ASSIGNED ALT 100 MI N OF CHS, SC.
Narrative: WHILE IN CRUISE PHASE OF FLT AS PF, CAPT BELIEVED HE RECEIVED CLRNC TO VACATE FL220 DOWN TO 11000 FT AND DIRECT RDU VOR WHICH HE SET INTO THE FMS AND THE ALT SELECTOR. AS RDU VOR WAS N OF OUR POS, THE ACFT PROCEEDED TO MAKE A TURN TO THE N, AND I STARTED THE DSCNT DOWN TO 11000 FT. WHEN I NOTICED THE TURN AWAY FROM OUR INTENDED COURSE, I SELECTED HEADING AND CONTINUED TOWARDS OUR DEST, BUT THE DSCNT CONTINUED. WHEN QUERIED ABOUT INTENDED INSTRUCTIONS, ATC STATED THAT THE CALL WAS NOT FOR US. ATC THEN INSTRUCTED US TO DSND TO FL200 AS PER NEXT SECTOR'S (JACKSONVILLE) INSTRUCTIONS. ALT AT NEW INSTRUCTIONS WAS 20300 FT. A DEV OF 1700 FT. HEADING NEVER GOT BEYOND 10 DEGS OFF COURSE AND WAS CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY. WE HAD FLOWN 7 HRS PREVIOUS TO DEV, WITH EXTENSIVE DELAYS COMING OUT OF PHL.
