Narrative:
We were cleared to descend from 16000 ft to 13000 ft 15 DME from jvl VOR. At 16 DME we realized we had not started down and did so. As far as we could tell there were no traffic conflicts. Center did question our altitude and we may have caused them other problems. This was caused by not keeping our minds on the job. This is easy to do when you have flown the same route over and over. We just have to try harder and let this be a reminder.
