Narrative:
Our B737 commercial was told to 'taxi to runway 22.' this was read back and both me and my fellow pilot thought we heard these words on our (my) readback. In taxiing to runway 22, we needed to cross the end of runway 8. As our aircraft just barely crossed the hold line for runway 8, we saw a light commuter propeller aircraft on final and tower told us to 'hold short.' he then asked if we were 'over the line.' we said 'yes.' even though it was only a short amount over, the tower controller asked the light aircraft to go around. Tower then said that we were told to 'hold short of runway 8' in our clearance. Neither pilot could recall this. Contributing factors: cockpit training was being conducted, last day of a long 3 day sequence, low airport activity and slow tempo, and very late departure behind schedule.

Title: FLC OF A B737-500 PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE DURING TAXI OUT AT AN INTERSECTING RWY RESULTING IN A COMMUTER ACFT BEING SENT AROUND.
Narrative: OUR B737 COMMERCIAL WAS TOLD TO 'TAXI TO RWY 22.' THIS WAS READ BACK AND BOTH ME AND MY FELLOW PLT THOUGHT WE HEARD THESE WORDS ON OUR (MY) READBACK. IN TAXIING TO RWY 22, WE NEEDED TO CROSS THE END OF RWY 8. AS OUR ACFT JUST BARELY CROSSED THE HOLD LINE FOR RWY 8, WE SAW A LIGHT COMMUTER PROP ACFT ON FINAL AND TWR TOLD US TO 'HOLD SHORT.' HE THEN ASKED IF WE WERE 'OVER THE LINE.' WE SAID 'YES.' EVEN THOUGH IT WAS ONLY A SHORT AMOUNT OVER, THE TWR CTLR ASKED THE LIGHT ACFT TO GO AROUND. TWR THEN SAID THAT WE WERE TOLD TO 'HOLD SHORT OF RWY 8' IN OUR CLRNC. NEITHER PLT COULD RECALL THIS. CONTRIBUTING FACTORS: COCKPIT TRAINING WAS BEING CONDUCTED, LAST DAY OF A LONG 3 DAY SEQUENCE, LOW ARPT ACTIVITY AND SLOW TEMPO, AND VERY LATE DEP BEHIND SCHEDULE.
