Narrative:

On landing rollout on runway 26R at phx, tower instructed us to make first available taxiway. We exited runway 26R at B8 (reverse high speed). A B747 was taxiing eastbound on taxiway 'bravo.' we were instructed to follow the B747 eastbound on taxiway B and contact ground. We were forced to stop prior to clearing runway 26R as the B747's wingspan exceeded the boundary of taxiway 'bravo.' the nose of our aircraft was approximately 15 feet from the bravo-B8 hold short line, with our aircraft still on B-8/26R. At this time tower cleared a B757 for takeoff on runway 26R. A B737 was on short final to runway 26R as well. The B747 slowed on 'bravo' as if unsure about the situation. I pulled forward as far as I could without the B747 wingtip passing over my aircraft. We still were unable to clear runway 26R, or even get the nosewheel past the hold short line. I pulled forward clear of runway 26R immediately behind the B747, but by this time the B757 had passed us and was rotating. The B737 touched down soon after. I am unsure of taxiway B8 dimensions but our aircraft is 57 ft long and the B757 has a considerable wingspan. I think poor tower/ground communication and planning was to blame for placing my aircraft between 'a rock and a hard place.' add to this the darkness of night and minimum separation of arriving aircraft. Had I known the B757 was going to be cleared for an immediate takeoff, I would have powered out in front of, and cut off, the B747 prior to his reaching taxiway B8. This would have required a very sudden stop by the B747. Several passengers stated concern about the situation during deplaning.

Title: ACR PILOT UNABLE TO CLEAR RWY AT PHX, AZ, BECAUSE OF TAXIING ACFT ON THE PARALLEL TAXIWAY IS CONCERNED ABOUT SEPARATION FROM THE ACFT CLEARED FOR TKOF ON THAT RWY AND ANOTHER ACFT WHO ARRIVED AFTER THAT.

Narrative: ON LNDG ROLLOUT ON RWY 26R AT PHX, TWR INSTRUCTED US TO MAKE FIRST AVAILABLE TAXIWAY. WE EXITED RWY 26R AT B8 (REVERSE HIGH SPEED). A B747 WAS TAXIING EBOUND ON TAXIWAY 'BRAVO.' WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO FOLLOW THE B747 EBOUND ON TAXIWAY B AND CONTACT GND. WE WERE FORCED TO STOP PRIOR TO CLEARING RWY 26R AS THE B747'S WINGSPAN EXCEEDED THE BOUNDARY OF TAXIWAY 'BRAVO.' THE NOSE OF OUR ACFT WAS APPROX 15 FEET FROM THE BRAVO-B8 HOLD SHORT LINE, WITH OUR ACFT STILL ON B-8/26R. AT THIS TIME TWR CLEARED A B757 FOR TKOF ON RWY 26R. A B737 WAS ON SHORT FINAL TO RWY 26R AS WELL. THE B747 SLOWED ON 'BRAVO' AS IF UNSURE ABOUT THE SITUATION. I PULLED FORWARD AS FAR AS I COULD WITHOUT THE B747 WINGTIP PASSING OVER MY ACFT. WE STILL WERE UNABLE TO CLEAR RWY 26R, OR EVEN GET THE NOSEWHEEL PAST THE HOLD SHORT LINE. I PULLED FORWARD CLEAR OF RWY 26R IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE B747, BUT BY THIS TIME THE B757 HAD PASSED US AND WAS ROTATING. THE B737 TOUCHED DOWN SOON AFTER. I AM UNSURE OF TAXIWAY B8 DIMENSIONS BUT OUR ACFT IS 57 FT LONG AND THE B757 HAS A CONSIDERABLE WINGSPAN. I THINK POOR TWR/GND COMMUNICATION AND PLANNING WAS TO BLAME FOR PLACING MY ACFT BTWN 'A ROCK AND A HARD PLACE.' ADD TO THIS THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT AND MINIMUM SEPARATION OF ARRIVING ACFT. HAD I KNOWN THE B757 WAS GOING TO BE CLEARED FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF, I WOULD HAVE POWERED OUT IN FRONT OF, AND CUT OFF, THE B747 PRIOR TO HIS REACHING TXWY B8. THIS WOULD HAVE REQUIRED A VERY SUDDEN STOP BY THE B747. SEVERAL PASSENGERS STATED CONCERN ABOUT THE SITUATION DURING DEPLANING.
