Narrative:
Climbing on 270 degree heading (vector) we were advised of traffic 12 O'clock, less than 1 mi. I looked ahead and saw another single engine aircraft, opposite direction, 12 O'clock, at our altitude, head-on. I pulled back quickly on the yoke. The plane passed directly underneath us approximately 200 ft. I told ATC we saw him and 'said' nice call about 200-300 ft. No response from ATC, or any more mention by either ATC or us.
