Narrative:
I noticed that the stall/stick shaker motor, which is mounted on the back of the control column appeared to be missing a ground wire. I noticed this because the captain's motor had a ground wire but the first officer's did not. Maintenance was already on board dealing with another issue, so I queried the mechanic about the missing wire. He performed a normal stall test and explained to both the captain and I that the first officer's motor did not require a ground wire. Therefore, the discrepancy was never documented and the flight proceeded to the destination without incident. It was later that I discovered that the mechanic was incorrect. Both motors must have a ground wire otherwise the defective motor must be replaced. It's my belief that had we written the discrepancy in the log, the mechanic would have acted correctly by investigating the matter instead of 'guessing.' due to increased 'pushing' from company management, the captain was unwilling to document the apparent discrepancy.

Title: CL65 FO DISCOVERED A PROB WITH THE STICK SHAKER WIRING.
Narrative: I NOTICED THAT THE STALL/STICK SHAKER MOTOR, WHICH IS MOUNTED ON THE BACK OF THE CTL COLUMN APPEARED TO BE MISSING A GND WIRE. I NOTICED THIS BECAUSE THE CAPT'S MOTOR HAD A GND WIRE BUT THE FO'S DID NOT. MAINT WAS ALREADY ON BOARD DEALING WITH ANOTHER ISSUE, SO I QUERIED THE MECH ABOUT THE MISSING WIRE. HE PERFORMED A NORMAL STALL TEST AND EXPLAINED TO BOTH THE CAPT AND I THAT THE FO'S MOTOR DID NOT REQUIRE A GND WIRE. THEREFORE, THE DISCREPANCY WAS NEVER DOCUMENTED AND THE FLT PROCEEDED TO THE DEST WITHOUT INCIDENT. IT WAS LATER THAT I DISCOVERED THAT THE MECH WAS INCORRECT. BOTH MOTORS MUST HAVE A GND WIRE OTHERWISE THE DEFECTIVE MOTOR MUST BE REPLACED. IT'S MY BELIEF THAT HAD WE WRITTEN THE DISCREPANCY IN THE LOG, THE MECH WOULD HAVE ACTED CORRECTLY BY INVESTIGATING THE MATTER INSTEAD OF 'GUESSING.' DUE TO INCREASED 'PUSHING' FROM COMPANY MGMNT, THE CAPT WAS UNWILLING TO DOCUMENT THE APPARENT DISCREPANCY.
