Title: AN ENG OVERHAUL SHOP USING IMPROPER CLEANING AND BLASTING ON CF6 ENGS HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE DISKS REQUIRED REMOVAL FOR REINSPECTION DUE TO POSSIBLE DISK DAMAGE.
Narrative: IMPROPER BLAST PROC ON FIRST AND SECOND STAGE HIGH PRESSURE TURBINE DISKS. IN QUESTION IS 'FINAL HANDLING' UNDER SECTION 30-06 PAGE 8 DATED APR/XA/98 IN THE GPM WHICH STATES, 'A VISUAL REVIEW OF THE PART PRIOR TO INSTALLATION TO ENSURE NO PHYSICAL DAMAGE HAS OCCURRED.'
