Narrative:
On climb through approximately 13000-15000 ft, EICAS momentary indication of #2 bleed leak (approximately 1 second or less) and baggage smoke indication. Baggage smoke indication disappeared after 15 seconds. This was followed by EICAS indication of #1 bleed leak. Appropriate QRH (abnormal) checklists were completed, and company maintenance was called on company SELCAL frequency. Flight attendant advised us of hot aft lavatory condition. Captain investigated, and found same, with very hot aft lavatory bulkhead. There were no EICAS indications of baggage smoke at this time. Aircraft immediately diverted to jackson, ms. Company maintenance traced the cause of the problem to a leaking clamp on the #2 bleed line, which disconnected the associated bleed leak sensor wiring, accounting for the lack of EICAS indication of #2 bleed leak.
Original NASA ASRS Text
Title: AN EMBRAER 145 IN CLB AT FL239 DIVERTED DUE TO EICAS #2 BLEED LEAK AND BAGGAGE SMOKE WARNING CAUSED BY A LOOSE, LEAKING DUCT CLAMP.
Narrative: ON CLB THROUGH APPROX 13000-15000 FT, EICAS MOMENTARY INDICATION OF #2 BLEED LEAK (APPROX 1 SECOND OR LESS) AND BAGGAGE SMOKE INDICATION. BAGGAGE SMOKE INDICATION DISAPPEARED AFTER 15 SECONDS. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY EICAS INDICATION OF #1 BLEED LEAK. APPROPRIATE QRH (ABNORMAL) CHKLISTS WERE COMPLETED, AND COMPANY MAINT WAS CALLED ON COMPANY SELCAL FREQ. FLT ATTENDANT ADVISED US OF HOT AFT LAVATORY CONDITION. CAPT INVESTIGATED, AND FOUND SAME, WITH VERY HOT AFT LAVATORY BULKHEAD. THERE WERE NO EICAS INDICATIONS OF BAGGAGE SMOKE AT THIS TIME. ACFT IMMEDIATELY DIVERTED TO JACKSON, MS. COMPANY MAINT TRACED THE CAUSE OF THE PROB TO A LEAKING CLAMP ON THE #2 BLEED LINE, WHICH DISCONNECTED THE ASSOCIATED BLEED LEAK SENSOR WIRING, ACCOUNTING FOR THE LACK OF EICAS INDICATION OF #2 BLEED LEAK.
