Narrative:
On initial taxi, brakes were applied on signal from the ground crew. First flight attendant lost her balance and struck her head on the upper galley door latch, causing a 1 inch cut. Aircraft shut down and injury attended to. Flight attendant removed from the aircraft for medical treatment. No other injury or damage.

Title: THE SUDDEN STOP AS CAPT APPLIED BRAKES ON HIS B737-200 IN RESPONSE TO SIGNAL FROM MARSHALLER INJURED A FLT ATTENDANT WHO WAS STANDING IN THE GALLEY AT ITO, HI.
Narrative: ON INITIAL TAXI, BRAKES WERE APPLIED ON SIGNAL FROM THE GND CREW. FIRST FLT ATTENDANT LOST HER BAL AND STRUCK HER HEAD ON THE UPPER GALLEY DOOR LATCH, CAUSING A 1 INCH CUT. ACFT SHUT DOWN AND INJURY ATTENDED TO. FLT ATTENDANT REMOVED FROM THE ACFT FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT. NO OTHER INJURY OR DAMAGE.
