Narrative:

Late night continuous duty trip. Departed XA55 with 2 stops. Arrived second stop at XD15. Waited 3 hours, departed XG00. Returned to base, arrived XJ30 (on duty all night). First aircraft assigned downed for maintenance. Arrived at new aircraft at departure time XA55. Maintenance required and complied with. 8 write-ups. Passenger loaded, aircraft fueled. Waited 10+ mins for maintenance documents to be returned from mechanics. Time was 1 hour 20 mins after departure time. Received documents and reviewed with crew. Turning back pages of write-ups during review, turned 2 pages at a time. Between pages are 2 write-ups previous crew had posted. These write-ups were fixed, but not signed off by maintenance and not seen by crew during review of logbook. Flight departed 1 hour 20 mins late -- it was XC15. Arrived first stop and then notified by maintenance that 2 write-ups were not signed off. Possible factors: mechanic not following and clearing write-up. Back side of clock flying on short notice (1 day to prepare). Newness to seat. Newness to aircraft. Rush to depart -- passenger boarded and delayed and waiting.
