Narrative:
During cruise flight between ontario, or (ono), and hamilton, mt (6s5), we encountered unforecast rain on our route. We were forced to deviate south, which forced us into a temporary flight restr northwest of salmon, identification (smn). At no time did we overfly any active fires or fire base camps, nor did we descend below 9000 ft. No conflicts arose with any fire-fighting aircraft or activities. I believe we were just over the north boundary of the temporary flight restr. The air was very turbulent, the freezing level was at 10000 ft MSL, widespread showers obscured the mountains north of the temporary flight restr, and we had insufficient fuel to return to mccall, identification (mly), to land.
