Narrative:
Since feb/xa/00 the company has instructed me to complete the crew chief work turnover report at the end of the shift. There is no crew chief assigned to our area. Therefore, being the high senior mechanic, the company has placed this duty on me. Gpm section x-ab, page Z, paragraph yb, states the crew chief or mechanic in charge should prepare a turnover report unless a supervisor jointly works in the same area, then only the supervisor is required to make out a turnover report (ZZZ and XXX base maintenance requires a crew chief and production supervisor turnover). Since the company won't assign a crew chief to this area, they are directing me to fill out the turnover, therefore causing me to violate the gpm. They insist that a crew chief is not required to be assigned to fill out a turnover in ZZZ.
