Narrative:
Close to departure time, we were advised by a flight attendant that a passenger boarded and then changed his mind and walked off the airplane. He had apparently flown from mco to mia and was going to la paz. He gave no reason for leaving, and no crew member actually talked to him. Thinking that this was rather strange on a long international flight, we took a delay to sort out the issue. We were told by the agent that he had no checked bags, so that wasn't an issue. I declined to depart until we found out more. I did talk to several people and received several 'parts' to the story. Still not convinced, and not wanting to violate any FAA or dade county rules, we searched for more information. We did delay the flight about 40 mins, before we were confident that this guy was legitimate and that we did not violate any FAA -- or more importantly -- dade county rules.

STILL NOT CONVINCED, AND NOT WANTING TO VIOLATE ANY FAA OR DADE COUNTY RULES, WE SEARCHED FOR MORE INFO. WE DID DELAY THE FLT ABOUT 40 MINS, BEFORE WE WERE CONFIDENT THAT THIS GUY WAS LEGITIMATE AND THAT WE DID NOT VIOLATE ANY FAA -- OR MORE IMPORTANTLY -- DADE COUNTY RULES.
