Narrative:
Upon boarding, I proceeded to stow luggage and check emergency equipment and safety video. In the #4 position, I pulled tickets. Our flight was completely full with 1 flight attendant jump seat non revenue at 4R. Shortly after takeoff, we realized that the 4L door was not sealing. Attached to the 4L assist handle were 2 wooden hangers, lodged in the 4L door. The sound of escaping air was quite loud. The captain was contacted and, after observing the problem, stated that we would need to return to lax and check if any damage had occurred. He informed the passenger. I remained strapped in my 4R jump seat. After landing in lax, passenger deplaned and the pressure was checked. We re-boarded and had no problems en route to dfw. Upon descent, I felt pressure in my ears that I could not unblock. The in-flight manager meeting the flight suggested that I visit medical and have them checked. I was informed that my left ear was completely blocked. I've had no prior illness.
