Narrative:
Company dispatch failed to put micah after jeres intersection, then ewc VOR on flight plan, per ATC preferred routing. ZNY asked our routing and we entered micah to correct it. I plan to get full routing ATC clrncs after this event, when flying out of dca, to eliminate this in the future.

Title: A B757 CAPT RPTED THAT A WAYPOINT HAD BEEN OMITTED IN HIS COMPANY DISPATCH, CAUSING THE ACFT'S NAV COMPUTER TO TURN IN THE WRONG DIRECTION, WHICH WAS NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH ATC'S PREFERRED ROUTING.
Narrative: COMPANY DISPATCH FAILED TO PUT MICAH AFTER JERES INTXN, THEN EWC VOR ON FLT PLAN, PER ATC PREFERRED ROUTING. ZNY ASKED OUR ROUTING AND WE ENTERED MICAH TO CORRECT IT. I PLAN TO GET FULL ROUTING ATC CLRNCS AFTER THIS EVENT, WHEN FLYING OUT OF DCA, TO ELIMINATE THIS IN THE FUTURE.
