Narrative:

Aircraft had been painted at byh. This was a maintenance ferry flight from byh to msp. Aircraft was operated with 1 alternate static port taped over and covered with paint, flight was normal -- no abnormalities noted. The covered alternate static port was discovered by a mechanic the following day after 3 revenue flts were performed by different crews. I did the initial preflight to byh. It was performed at night in poor lighting. If masking tape must be used, perhaps it should be of the type that is easily recognized in all lighting conditions.
