Center asked us to check altimeter. We were in level cruise and were about 300 ft low due to forgetting to set 29.92. Center said there was no problem caused.

Title: EMB-135 CREW NEGLECTED TO RESET ALTIMETER PASSING FL180 DURING CLBOUT.
Narrative: CTR ASKED US TO CHK ALTIMETER. WE WERE IN LEVEL CRUISE AND WERE ABOUT 300 FT LOW DUE TO FORGETTING TO SET 29.92. CTR SAID THERE WAS NO PROB CAUSED.
