Narrative:

On an approach to runway 8R at paris charles de gaulle airport, approach control cleared us to 4000 ft on qnh of 1001 millibars. Descended to 4000 ft and finished approach checklist realizing we had set 1011 instead of 1001 millibars. Climbed back up a few hundred ft to 4000 ft at 1001 millibars and finished approach. We were VMC at the time with runway in sight. Note: this approach allows a 3000 ft or 2000 ft FAF by ATC. No comment from approach control. Supplemental information from acn 495943: missed resetting altimeter at transition level (5000 ft) and got about 300 ft low.
