Narrative:

We were cleared into position and hold on runway 33 for landing traffic on runway 24. Traffic was a white B727 which we had in sight. After he landed and crossed the runway 33 out of sight, we were cleared for a takeoff on runway 33 with left turn to 270 degrees. We completed our checklist and began the takeoff roll. At approximately 60 KTS the B727 appeared from the left of the runway at a speed that he didn't look like he was going to stop. At approximately 70-75 KTS we aborted the takeoff and stopped the aircraft. We then advised tower we were aborting and he seemed confused. The B727 crossed the runway on the taxiway parallel to runway 24. After exiting the runway, we asked tower for clarification. He said he 'did not issue a runway crossing to any aircraft.' we then ran our checklist, got re-released, and completed our flight without incident. I believe there was a miscom between ground and tower.

Title: AN ACR TURBOPROP FLC ABORT TKOF WHEN THEY OBSERVE A B727 TAXIING FAST UP THE TXWY THAT CROSSED THEIR RWY. THE B727 DID NOT APPEAR TO BE STOPPING TO HOLD SHORT OF THE RWY AS THE TURBOPROP WAS TAKING OFF.

Narrative: WE WERE CLRED INTO POS AND HOLD ON RWY 33 FOR LNDG TFC ON RWY 24. TFC WAS A WHITE B727 WHICH WE HAD IN SIGHT. AFTER HE LANDED AND CROSSED THE RWY 33 OUT OF SIGHT, WE WERE CLRED FOR A TKOF ON RWY 33 WITH L TURN TO 270 DEGS. WE COMPLETED OUR CHKLIST AND BEGAN THE TKOF ROLL. AT APPROX 60 KTS THE B727 APPEARED FROM THE L OF THE RWY AT A SPD THAT HE DIDN'T LOOK LIKE HE WAS GOING TO STOP. AT APPROX 70-75 KTS WE ABORTED THE TKOF AND STOPPED THE ACFT. WE THEN ADVISED TWR WE WERE ABORTING AND HE SEEMED CONFUSED. THE B727 CROSSED THE RWY ON THE TXWY PARALLEL TO RWY 24. AFTER EXITING THE RWY, WE ASKED TWR FOR CLARIFICATION. HE SAID HE 'DID NOT ISSUE A RWY XING TO ANY ACFT.' WE THEN RAN OUR CHKLIST, GOT RE-RELEASED, AND COMPLETED OUR FLT WITHOUT INCIDENT. I BELIEVE THERE WAS A MISCOM BTWN GND AND TWR.
