Narrative:

After waiting for 2-3 aircraft to land on the active runway (runway 33) at lhm airport, I was in the process of taxiing into takeoff position on runway 33 when an aircraft announced that he was 4 1/2 mi out on the ILS approach to runway 15 and landing runway 15. There were 2-3 aircraft behind me waiting for takeoff. Therefore, to expedite traffic flow, I decided to take off. I announced that I was making a quick takeoff and turn to depart left downwind. My aircraft is capable taking off in 300 ft and climbing rapidly at 1000 FPM. I made the short field takeoff and rapid climb with an early turn to crosswind. I was turning the left downwind by the time the aircraft on the ILS landed. At the time, I thought the procedure was an approved procedure, because I have seen and been cleared for the procedure at tower controled airports to expedite traffic flow when another aircraft was on an instrument approach to the opposite runway. But upon further thought about what I did, the procedure may be considered a runway incursion at a non tower controled airport.

Title: MAULE PLT PERCEIVES TKOF FROM LHM WITH TFC ON FINAL AS A RWY INCURSION.

Narrative: AFTER WAITING FOR 2-3 ACFT TO LAND ON THE ACTIVE RWY (RWY 33) AT LHM ARPT, I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF TAXIING INTO TKOF POS ON RWY 33 WHEN AN ACFT ANNOUNCED THAT HE WAS 4 1/2 MI OUT ON THE ILS APCH TO RWY 15 AND LNDG RWY 15. THERE WERE 2-3 ACFT BEHIND ME WAITING FOR TKOF. THEREFORE, TO EXPEDITE TFC FLOW, I DECIDED TO TAKE OFF. I ANNOUNCED THAT I WAS MAKING A QUICK TKOF AND TURN TO DEPART L DOWNWIND. MY ACFT IS CAPABLE TAKING OFF IN 300 FT AND CLBING RAPIDLY AT 1000 FPM. I MADE THE SHORT FIELD TKOF AND RAPID CLB WITH AN EARLY TURN TO XWIND. I WAS TURNING THE L DOWNWIND BY THE TIME THE ACFT ON THE ILS LANDED.
