Narrative:

The captain called from XXX inquiring about a latch on an aft galley door. I stated to him that to call in contract maintenance. He said that they probably wouldn't arrive in time and we would delay the flight. I said if that happened and to avoid a delay he should make an entry in log 'information to maintenance -- latch broken aft galley door not airworthy or safety item.' later and after the flight to ZZZ, found that this item was the G-3 galley flight attendants oxygen personal breath equipment stowage door, covered under a crew placard MEL 35-7/
