Narrative:
Departing pikes 2 cleared direct pumps J102 as filed climb FL310. Missed the FL310 part and made the turn while staying at FL280. ATC queried, was told to climb to FL310 and that we had been previously given that clearance. The clearance included 4 items and obviously 1 dropped out. Too many at once? Also, we needed to discuss the clearance as it was exactly what we had previously been cleared and we were trying to figure out if there was indeed a change to the route. Why give the same information twice and complicate the important part -- the climb and the direction -- any more than needed?
