Narrative:

On feb/xa/01, my air carrier informed me that I was past due on my yrly line check. I was removed from my schedule until I could complete my line check on feb/xf/01. I have worked for this air carrier for over 10 yrs. Many times in the past, the air carrier has had to change my due month for training requirements such as pc's, loft and line checks. About 6 months ago, I received a letter from the air carrier stating these due months, except for the line check. It simply stated that the due month was 'unspecified' for the line check. I did not know if the due month was being changed for a scheduling conflict or some other reason. I suggest that the air carrier each january send a letter to each crew member stating the due months required for the yr -- that way each crew member could put these dates on their personal calendar to help insure compliance with the FARS.
