Narrative:
We were en route from ZZZ-XXX, at FL290. We lost left window heat. After consulting with dispatch and maintenance, we diverted to dayton. On final approach, we had 'smoke cargo' illuminated with annunciation. We did memory items, QRH, declared emergency, informed ATC that we would be evacing on runway. Landed uneventfully and evacuate/evacuationed successfully without injuries or damage. The 'smoke cargo' after investigation appeared a false indication. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: the reporter stated the cause of the false cargo smoke warning was not released by maintenance. The reporter said the aircraft was evacuate/evacuationed with no injuries. Callback conversation with reporter acn 503651 revealed the following information: the flight was diverted to day due to a window heat malfunction and on approach at 3000 ft got a cargo smoke warning. The reporter said the cause of the false warning is unknown as maintenance did not communicate to the crew the component that failed.
