Narrative:

After engine start we were cleared to taxi to runway 35 and to remain clear of the ILS critical area. Conditions were moderate to heavy snow 1/2 mi visibility and it had been snowing for approximately 1 hour snow was piled 2 ft to 3 ft on sides of taxiway from snow storm from 1 week ago. It was difficult to see marking on the taxiway and signs due to the falling snow and snow from last week. Refering to chart for manchester, north. H. In our commercial plates, the ILS critical area is shown with an arrow pointing to the E-1 taxiway where the taxiway goes from narrow to wide. This however is not where the hold short spot is. It is on E-1 just south off taxiway east. However, the markings were covered by snow. I believe either the signage or the chart should be improved to display a more accurate depiction of the ILS critical area.

Title: SNOW COVERED TXWY MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE AIR CARRIER FLIGHT CREW TO SEE AND HOLD SHORT OF ILS CRITICAL AREA.

Narrative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
