Narrative:
On mar/xa/01 at XA00 hours, I was informed by my supervisor about an incorrect left overwing escape slide installation on aircraft xyz. I had done the inspection of the installation and did not see that the packing tape and plastic caps used for shipping were inadvertently left in place.

Title: A B767 L WING EMER ESCAPE SLIDE WAS INSTALLED INCORRECTLY WITH PACKING TAPE AND PLASTIC CAPS USED FOR SHIPPING LEFT ON THE SLIDE.
Narrative: ON MAR/XA/01 AT XA00 HRS, I WAS INFORMED BY MY SUPVR ABOUT AN INCORRECT L OVERWING ESCAPE SLIDE INSTALLATION ON ACFT XYZ. I HAD DONE THE INSPECTION OF THE INSTALLATION AND DID NOT SEE THAT THE PACKING TAPE AND PLASTIC CAPS USED FOR SHIPPING WERE INADVERTENTLY LEFT IN PLACE.
