Narrative:

About 1 hour after takeoff, we were contacted by dispatch that a cargo compartment had been loaded that was to have been left empty. After conferring with dispatch, we decided a return to sfo was the best choice. After receiving clearance from oceanic, we returned to sfo. Requested lower altitude and used drag devices to help burn off excess fuel. Dumping was not an option since center tank had no fuel. We decided to land slightly overweight rather than spend extra time in-flight with unknown status of cargo compartment. Overweight landing inspection performed. Cargo reloaded properly. We departed again for hnl after refueling.
