Narrative:
Departing phl, entered heavy rain, began deviating and had center radio changes and course changes while deviating. All this happened while climbing through FL180 and the distrs led to a failure to reset 29.92. Multiple ARTCC sectors said nothing and there were no traffic conflicts. Actual altitude deviation was small and discovered on descent.
