Narrative:
Struck 2 birds upon touchdown at dtw. One impacted the left wing, the other hit the nose landing gear door. Aircraft logbook write-up made. No aircraft damage. Damage to birds was catastrophic. Bird strikes reported to ATC after landing (dtw metropolitan tower).

Title: A DC9-50 STRIKES SOME BIRDS UPON TOUCHDOWN ON THE RWY AT DTW, MI.
Narrative: STRUCK 2 BIRDS UPON TOUCHDOWN AT DTW. ONE IMPACTED THE L WING, THE OTHER HIT THE NOSE LNDG GEAR DOOR. ACFT LOGBOOK WRITE-UP MADE. NO ACFT DAMAGE. DAMAGE TO BIRDS WAS CATASTROPHIC. BIRD STRIKES RPTED TO ATC AFTER LNDG (DTW METRO TWR).
