Narrative:

ZBW. Location: 50 NM west pvd, norwich arrival. Level at FL210 with captain as PF, captain gave me the aircraft to make arrival PA. After giving me the aircraft and checking off, ATC made a TA for an aircraft climbing to FL200 at our 10 O'clock position. I acquired the aircraft at 8 NM and confirmed it was climbing on the TCASII. A few seconds later we got an RA to climb with 100 FPM command. I disconnected the autoplt and autothrottle and started a climb to comply with the RA. Maximum deviation from assigned altitude was 500 ft. Using the TCASII, I confirmed that our traffic had overshot his altitude by 500 ft. This was a good example of making sure you really are in control of the aircraft when the other guy says 'you have it.'
