Narrative:
While parked at the gate deplaning passenger, the aircraft (saab 340B) tipped on its tail causing a very dangerous situation. The ground crew failed to put the tail stand in place upon parking the aircraft. Fire rescue personnel were called to help evacuate passenger from aircraft. No one was injured. Left tip horizontal stabilizer was damaged as it struck baggage cart and ground. Result of this mishap is failure of ground crew to follow aircraft securing procedures. Aircraft is now with maintenance for inspection and repair. Flight crew followed parking procedures as dictated by company policy.

Title: A SAAB 340B ACFT SITS ON ITS TAIL WHEN THE PAX STARTED TO DEPLANE SINCE THE GND CREW HAD NOT PLACED THE TAIL STAND UNDER THE ACFT AT THE RAMP IN PIT, PA.
Narrative: WHILE PARKED AT THE GATE DEPLANING PAX, THE ACFT (SAAB 340B) TIPPED ON ITS TAIL CAUSING A VERY DANGEROUS SIT. THE GND CREW FAILED TO PUT THE TAIL STAND IN PLACE UPON PARKING THE ACFT. FIRE RESCUE PERSONNEL WERE CALLED TO HELP EVACUATE PAX FROM ACFT. NO ONE WAS INJURED. LEFT TIP HORIZONTAL STABILIZER WAS DAMAGED AS IT STRUCK BAGGAGE CART AND GND.
