Narrative:
Nose gear failed to extend on approach. Went missed approach and vectored about 20 mi northeast of airfield until gear manually crammed down. Declared emergency on final with gear down and locked as precautionary action. Probably should have declared emergency initially when we went missed approach when problem discovered.

Narrative: NOSE GEAR FAILED TO EXTEND ON APCH. WENT MISSED APCH AND VECTORED ABOUT 20 MI NE OF AIRFIELD UNTIL GEAR MANUALLY CRAMMED DOWN. DECLARED EMER ON FINAL WITH GEAR DOWN AND LOCKED AS PRECAUTIONARY ACTION. PROBABLY SHOULD HAVE DECLARED EMER INITIALLY WHEN WE WENT MISSED APCH WHEN PROB DISCOVERED.
