Narrative:
Flight planned lkv J67 lin, but flew J-5 toward rno. Mistake pointed out by ZSE. We fly this route so often that we mistakenly took the wrong route. We had extensive (2 hour) delay and had gotten clearance, etc, much earlier. We fell into a habit pattern instead of diligently following flight plan. Closer attention to detail and leaving maintenance problems behind would prevent problems of this type. We flew the route as we usually do, instead of as filed.

Narrative: FLT PLANNED LKV J67 LIN, BUT FLEW J-5 TOWARD RNO. MISTAKE POINTED OUT BY ZSE. WE FLY THIS RTE SO OFTEN THAT WE MISTAKENLY TOOK THE WRONG RTE. WE HAD EXTENSIVE (2 HR) DELAY AND HAD GOTTEN CLRNC, ETC, MUCH EARLIER. WE FELL INTO A HABIT PATTERN INSTEAD OF DILIGENTLY FOLLOWING FLT PLAN. CLOSER ATTN TO DETAIL AND LEAVING MAINT PROBS BEHIND WOULD PREVENT PROBS OF THIS TYPE. WE FLEW THE RTE AS WE USUALLY DO, INSTEAD OF AS FILED.
