Narrative:
Flight planned from gragg-wade (02A) clanton, al, to general dewitt spain (M01) memphis, tn. My plane lost power. I requested a vector from birmingham approach control to the nearest field. I was given a vector to shelby county (eet) alabaster, al. Approximately 15 mi away, once established to eet, I located the problem. The fuel tank selector had moved from the left main tank to an intermediate position. This had restr fuel flow to the engine. I repositioned the switch. The power returned to normal and I continued my landing at eet. I inspected the selector, found no problem and continued my flight to M01. While at eet I phoned birmingham approach and talked to my controller and her supervisor, after explaining the problem, I was told no further reports were required. The flight to M01 ws uneventful. It appears that I had inadvertently moved the tank selector switch which resulted in a reduced fuel flow.

Title: A BE35 BONANZA ATP PLT LOSES PWR AND RECEIVES A VECTOR FOR A PRECAUTIONARY LNDG AT SHELBY COUNTY, EET, AL.
Narrative: FLT PLANNED FROM GRAGG-WADE (02A) CLANTON, AL, TO GENERAL DEWITT SPAIN (M01) MEMPHIS, TN. MY PLANE LOST PWR. I REQUESTED A VECTOR FROM BIRMINGHAM APCH CTL TO THE NEAREST FIELD. I WAS GIVEN A VECTOR TO SHELBY COUNTY (EET) ALABASTER, AL. APPROX 15 MI AWAY, ONCE ESTABLISHED TO EET, I LOCATED THE PROB. THE FUEL TANK SELECTOR HAD MOVED FROM THE L MAIN TANK TO AN INTERMEDIATE POS. THIS HAD RESTR FUEL FLOW TO THE ENG. I REPOSITIONED THE SWITCH. THE PWR RETURNED TO NORMAL AND I CONTINUED MY LNDG AT EET. I INSPECTED THE SELECTOR, FOUND NO PROB AND CONTINUED MY FLT TO M01. WHILE AT EET I PHONED BIRMINGHAM APCH AND TALKED TO MY CTLR AND HER SUPVR, AFTER EXPLAINING THE PROB, I WAS TOLD NO FURTHER RPTS WERE REQUIRED. THE FLT TO M01 WS UNEVENTFUL. IT APPEARS THAT I HAD INADVERTENTLY MOVED THE TANK SELECTOR SWITCH WHICH RESULTED IN A REDUCED FUEL FLOW.
