Narrative:
Was informed on unicom that airport was closed due to fire fighting equipment on the field (not the runway). Did not recognize voice on unicom (I am flight instructor on field). When I asked for clarification and identify of person, I got no response. Runway was clear, not X'ed, so I landed.

Title: A C172 CFI PLT RECEIVES A CALL FROM A PERSON ON UNICOM FREQ THAT THE ARPT IS CLOSED. UNABLE TO VERIFY PERSON OR SIT, RPTR LANDS ANYWAY AT K47N, NJ.
Narrative: WAS INFORMED ON UNICOM THAT ARPT WAS CLOSED DUE TO FIRE FIGHTING EQUIP ON THE FIELD (NOT THE RWY). DID NOT RECOGNIZE VOICE ON UNICOM (I AM FLT INSTRUCTOR ON FIELD). WHEN I ASKED FOR CLARIFICATION AND IDENT OF PERSON, I GOT NO RESPONSE. RWY WAS CLR, NOT X'ED, SO I LANDED.
