Narrative:
I took off from saf on a southeast heading to the practice area where I performed circles about a point and s-turns over a road. After approximately 45 mins I headed back to saf. I had listened to ATIS then unbeknown to me I dialed in the wrong frequency of the tower. I dialed in 118.5 instead of 119.5. After 3-4 attempts I obviously did not reach the tower nor anyone in the vicinity. I assumed the tower was closed and proceeded to perform several touch and go's. I never looked for any light signals from the tower. I landed west/O any incident and was told to contact tower immediately, which I did. They informed me to contact flight standards in abq, which I did. This was obviously a stupid mistake simply caused by not using right frequency, but worse by assuming the tower was closed.

Title: STUDENT PLT DIALS WRONG TWR FREQ. RECEIVES NO RESPONSE AND ASSUMES TWR CLOSED. MAKES SEVERAL TOUCH AND GO LNDGS.
Narrative: I TOOK OFF FROM SAF ON A SE HDG TO THE PRACTICE AREA WHERE I PERFORMED CIRCLES ABOUT A POINT AND S-TURNS OVER A ROAD. AFTER APPROX 45 MINS I HEADED BACK TO SAF. I HAD LISTENED TO ATIS THEN UNBEKNOWN TO ME I DIALED IN THE WRONG FREQ OF THE TWR. I DIALED IN 118.5 INSTEAD OF 119.5. AFTER 3-4 ATTEMPTS I OBVIOUSLY DID NOT REACH THE TWR NOR ANYONE IN THE VICINITY. I ASSUMED THE TWR WAS CLOSED AND PROCEEDED TO PERFORM SEVERAL TOUCH AND GO'S. I NEVER LOOKED FOR ANY LIGHT SIGNALS FROM THE TWR. I LANDED W/O ANY INCIDENT AND WAS TOLD TO CONTACT TWR IMMEDIATELY, WHICH I DID. THEY INFORMED ME TO CONTACT FLT STANDARDS IN ABQ, WHICH I DID. THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A STUPID MISTAKE SIMPLY CAUSED BY NOT USING RIGHT FREQ, BUT WORSE BY ASSUMING THE TWR WAS CLOSED.
