Narrative:
Returning home from the second roundtrip of the day (aoo-mmu-aoo) in an unpressurized piston twin, single pilot. The duty day began at XA00 with an XB00 takeoff for the first trip to an all-day wait at mmu. Return to aoo for a 1 1/2 hour wait at XH45. I only go into this much detail to describe the nature of the day. On my last return to aoo my brain was turning to mush. I had flown pretty close to 1/2 way back to aoo when I realized that I was being handed off to har approach at 5500 ft (wafdof). I reported on, wondering why abe hadn't mentioned the error for 50 mi of their airspace and climbing to 6500 ft. The har controller mentioned the altitude and I responded noting the climb. He must have wondered about my skill level because he also mentioned my proximity to a local restr area that was hot. I was aware of my location and passed clear to the north. I am convinced that fatigue was the primary factor in this event. My best response is to be mindful of all details on those long days.

Title: HDG ALT RULE DEV FOR A SINGLE PA60 CRP PLT 35 E OF HAR, PA.
Narrative: RETURNING HOME FROM THE SECOND ROUNDTRIP OF THE DAY (AOO-MMU-AOO) IN AN UNPRESSURIZED PISTON TWIN, SINGLE PLT. THE DUTY DAY BEGAN AT XA00 WITH AN XB00 TKOF FOR THE FIRST TRIP TO AN ALL-DAY WAIT AT MMU. RETURN TO AOO FOR A 1 1/2 HR WAIT AT XH45. I ONLY GO INTO THIS MUCH DETAIL TO DESCRIBE THE NATURE OF THE DAY. ON MY LAST RETURN TO AOO MY BRAIN WAS TURNING TO MUSH. I HAD FLOWN PRETTY CLOSE TO 1/2 WAY BACK TO AOO WHEN I REALIZED THAT I WAS BEING HANDED OFF TO HAR APCH AT 5500 FT (WAFDOF). I RPTED ON, WONDERING WHY ABE HADN'T MENTIONED THE ERROR FOR 50 MI OF THEIR AIRSPACE AND CLBING TO 6500 FT. THE HAR CTLR MENTIONED THE ALT AND I RESPONDED NOTING THE CLB. HE MUST HAVE WONDERED ABOUT MY SKILL LEVEL BECAUSE HE ALSO MENTIONED MY PROXIMITY TO A LOCAL RESTR AREA THAT WAS HOT. I WAS AWARE OF MY LOCATION AND PASSED CLR TO THE N. I AM CONVINCED THAT FATIGUE WAS THE PRIMARY FACTOR IN THIS EVENT. MY BEST RESPONSE IS TO BE MINDFUL OF ALL DETAILS ON THOSE LONG DAYS.
