Narrative:
Developmental controller idented aircraft X and climbed them to FL230. Developmental controller radar idented aircraft Y and climbed them to FL230. Developmental controller turned aircraft X to a 130 degree heading to intercept the slc 094 degree radial. Aircraft Y requested a VFR climb. Developmental controller issued traffic to aircraft Y on aircraft X. Aircraft Y replied they had the traffic in sight. Developmental controller told aircraft Y to maintain visual separation from the traffic and turned them to a 080 degree heading to join J154. Aircraft Y read back the 080 degree heading to join J154 and maintain visual separation from the traffic. Developmental controller issued traffic to aircraft X on aircraft Y and told them aircraft Y was maintaining visual separation from them. Developmental controller told aircraft X to resume normal speed. Developmental controller told aircraft Y to resume normal speed. An unidented person asked, 'is he going to turn inside us?' developmental controller tried to verify aircraft Y still had traffic in sight. Aircraft Y replied they were stopping their climb. Aircraft X said they were responding to an RA.

Title: S56 DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUES VISUAL CLB CLRNC TO 2 ACR JETS. CARJ, PROVIDING VISUAL SEPARATION FROM B727, TURNS IN FRONT CAUSING AN NMAC AND TCASII RA SIT.
Narrative: DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR IDENTED ACFT X AND CLBED THEM TO FL230. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR RADAR IDENTED ACFT Y AND CLBED THEM TO FL230. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR TURNED ACFT X TO A 130 DEG HDG TO INTERCEPT THE SLC 094 DEG RADIAL. ACFT Y REQUESTED A VFR CLB. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR ISSUED TFC TO ACFT Y ON ACFT X. ACFT Y REPLIED THEY HAD THE TFC IN SIGHT. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR TOLD ACFT Y TO MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION FROM THE TFC AND TURNED THEM TO A 080 DEG HDG TO JOIN J154. ACFT Y READ BACK THE 080 DEG HDG TO JOIN J154 AND MAINTAIN VISUAL SEPARATION FROM THE TFC. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR ISSUED TFC TO ACFT X ON ACFT Y AND TOLD THEM ACFT Y WAS MAINTAINING VISUAL SEPARATION FROM THEM. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR TOLD ACFT X TO RESUME NORMAL SPD. DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR TOLD ACFT Y TO RESUME NORMAL SPD. AN UNIDENTED PERSON ASKED, 'IS HE GOING TO TURN INSIDE US?' DEVELOPMENTAL CTLR TRIED TO VERIFY ACFT Y STILL HAD TFC IN SIGHT. ACFT Y REPLIED THEY WERE STOPPING THEIR CLB. ACFT X SAID THEY WERE RESPONDING TO AN RA.
