Narrative:
Climbing out of sfo on porte 3 departure, bay departure received our flight off of sfo, radar contact. We had put in request for 'bay tour' radar vector departure. He offered it to us at 3000 ft MSL due to oak departure and we declined due to 2800 ft overcast ceiling. After that friendly exchange he gave us a heading of 'turn left heading 180 degrees, climb and maintain FL230'. As we were turning through heading 200 degree bay approach asked us to turn right heading 280 degrees, company 12 O'clock position 3 mi, do we have him in sight? I said yes, maintain visual with company. At that time our TCASII sounded off with TA/RA. Bay approach thought we took company's turn (like sounding call sign). Company aircraft, controller, PF, and myself did not catch my mistake of readback hearback clearance. Or, bay approach issued a clearance to us that he intended for our company aircraft.
