Narrative:
I started my shift at XA00 on jul/xa/01. Was assigned to an 'a' check on aircraft #1 engine. Close to the end of my shift I was closing the 3RD panel back on the #1 engine. During this procedure, a razor blade fell into the area. I placed my flashlight (a mini magnetic light) in this area and retrieved the razor blade with a magnetic retriever. I believe I closed the panel with the light in the area. The following evening, I could not locate my flashlight. I informed the company of my missing flashlight. The company sent mechanics to where the aircraft was overnighting to investigate the aircraft and search for light. Supplemental information from acn 519784: mechanics from xyz went to yyz and did find flashlight in 3RD panel back on top of nacelle. They inspected area -- no damage found.
