Narrative:
We inadvertently departed runway 19R at sna with flaps at 1 degree instead of 5 degrees as required by the noise abatement procedure. Primary factor was distraction caused by focusing on the unusual procedure and the airport requirement to complete all flight preparation prior to aircraft movement.

Title: A B737-300 FLT CREW INADVERTENTLY TOOK OFF WITH THE WRONG FLAP SETTING OUT OF SNA.
Narrative: WE INADVERTENTLY DEPARTED RWY 19R AT SNA WITH FLAPS AT 1 DEG INSTEAD OF 5 DEGS AS REQUIRED BY THE NOISE ABATEMENT PROC. PRIMARY FACTOR WAS DISTR CAUSED BY FOCUSING ON THE UNUSUAL PROC AND THE ARPT REQUIREMENT TO COMPLETE ALL FLT PREPARATION PRIOR TO ACFT MOVEMENT.
