Narrative:
As I was doing the food service on the l-hand side of the airbus 300, flight attendant #2, who was also on the meal cart, but on the r-hand side aisle asked me if I had an extra chicken meal for passenger sitting in row xyz. I replied by saying I only had 1 chicken left and I already offered to abc. Passenger sitting in row abc were a family of 4 (the father, the mother, and 2 little girls). I informed the passenger (father) that we only had 1 chicken for 1 of his daughters and 3 beef for the rest of the family. At this point flight attendant #2 apologized to the mother, who got very upset about the situation and started yelling at flight attendant #2. Flight attendant #2 handed the beef to the mother who, after looking at it threw the meal on the floor where flight attendant #2 was standing. Flight attendant #2 told the passenger that she did not appreciate what she just had done. She picked up the beef and walked up to first class galley to speak to the purser. After a few mins, she came back and finished the service. Purser handled the situation and flight attendant #2 did not have any more contact with the passenger.
