Narrative:

Using remote communication outlet received IFR clearance. Told controller we needed 10 mins to get ready would be update our flight plan so as not to time out. Frequency was congested. Controller on several frequencys on takeoff controller asked had we not received a hold for IFR release. Told him no. I think part of every clearance at remote site. First words should be hold for release, then clearance would avoid confusion.
