Narrative:
After landing on runway 24R at lax, there seemed to be some uncertainty whether or not the flight was cleared to land. I believe the tower was contacted at the marker. A heavier than normal workload caused by numerous VFR contacts in the approach area may have contributed to the confusion.

Title: AN MD80 FLT CREW IS NOT SURE IF THEY RECEIVED A LNDG CLRNC AFTER THEY LANDED.
Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 24R AT LAX, THERE SEEMED TO BE SOME UNCERTAINTY WHETHER OR NOT THE FLT WAS CLRED TO LAND. I BELIEVE THE TWR WAS CONTACTED AT THE MARKER. A HEAVIER THAN NORMAL WORKLOAD CAUSED BY NUMEROUS VFR CONTACTS IN THE APCH AREA MAY HAVE CONTRIBUTED TO THE CONFUSION.
