Narrative:

A passenger was interested in knowing our location over the atlantic. The cabin map, located just outside the cockpit door, was not lit. I offered to show the passenger the cockpit map and I invited her into the cockpit. She was there for 5 mins. She did not force or coerce her way into the cockpit. I allowed her in. I did not realize until she was in, that I had made a mistake by letting her in. I have no excuse for this, other than I was very tired and not thinking clearly. For this I apologize.
