Flying spica 2 arrival at dtw. When crossing yqo VOR at FL240 (yqo 269 degree radial), failed to join radial as published. Required ATC vector to rejoin. Captain's VOR/CDI failed to operate properly. CDI needle sticking to full scale deflection. CDI replaced. No traffic conflict.
