Narrative:
We landed runway 25L at lax and eventually crossed runway 25R with about 5 other aircraft. Ground was very far behind in issuing taxi instructions so I completely cleared my aircraft of runway 25R and stopped on taxiway B. 20 or so seconds later, we had an angry controller scolding us for stopping. We advised him we were parking on the north side and that we never received a clearance to taxi. I offered to call him. He replied not to talk or reply again -- we were clogging his frequency. We had 1 more unfriendly exchange by this controller because we had to stop to allow a cargo loader to clear taxiway C. I spoke with the tower supervisor a few mins later after gate arrival. I explained and asked what I had done wrong. She said I stopped. The gist of her conversation to me was never to stop even if you do not have a clearance. I said we are told to clear the runway and then stop and get taxi clearance. She replied, 'you asked, I am telling you.' nothing was resolved. This attitude and desire to go against the FARS/aim is wrong, and could be disastrous. An easy solution could have been, as at other airports, to have us cross and join a taxiway and then contact ground. But that did not happen.

Title: MD80 CREW HAD LAX GND CTLR WANT THEM TO CONTINUE MOVING ON THE ARPT WITHOUT CLRNC CONTRARY TO FAR.
Narrative: WE LANDED RWY 25L AT LAX AND EVENTUALLY CROSSED RWY 25R WITH ABOUT 5 OTHER ACFT. GND WAS VERY FAR BEHIND IN ISSUING TAXI INSTRUCTIONS SO I COMPLETELY CLRED MY ACFT OF RWY 25R AND STOPPED ON TXWY B. 20 OR SO SECONDS LATER, WE HAD AN ANGRY CTLR SCOLDING US FOR STOPPING. WE ADVISED HIM WE WERE PARKING ON THE N SIDE AND THAT WE NEVER RECEIVED A CLRNC TO TAXI. I OFFERED TO CALL HIM. HE REPLIED NOT TO TALK OR REPLY AGAIN -- WE WERE CLOGGING HIS FREQ. WE HAD 1 MORE UNFRIENDLY EXCHANGE BY THIS CTLR BECAUSE WE HAD TO STOP TO ALLOW A CARGO LOADER TO CLR TXWY C. I SPOKE WITH THE TWR SUPVR A FEW MINS LATER AFTER GATE ARR. I EXPLAINED AND ASKED WHAT I HAD DONE WRONG. SHE SAID I STOPPED. THE GIST OF HER CONVERSATION TO ME WAS NEVER TO STOP EVEN IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A CLRNC. I SAID WE ARE TOLD TO CLR THE RWY AND THEN STOP AND GET TAXI CLRNC. SHE REPLIED, 'YOU ASKED, I AM TELLING YOU.' NOTHING WAS RESOLVED. THIS ATTITUDE AND DESIRE TO GO AGAINST THE FARS/AIM IS WRONG, AND COULD BE DISASTROUS. AN EASY SOLUTION COULD HAVE BEEN, AS AT OTHER ARPTS, TO HAVE US CROSS AND JOIN A TXWY AND THEN CONTACT GND. BUT THAT DID NOT HAPPEN.
